Food and wine tour

Gozo is indeed not only beautiful, but it is also a gastronomic paradise where finding bad food is truly an art. Malties cuisine is influenced by Italy and the Mediterranean. Surprisingly, however, the most typical dish on a Maltese plate is rabbit. It is cooked in many ways. Most often in tomato sauce with spaghetti. Rabbit stew is kind of considered the national dish, so don’t hesitate to try stuffat tal-fenek (rabbit stew).
As Gozo is surrounded on all sides by the sea, don’t miss the seafood. Most typically, you can have the traditional Maltese fish lampuki or swordfish (pixxispad). These are drier and tougher fish suitable for sautéing. But the local waters, and subsequently the restaurants, offer a wide variety of fish and seafood.
